Papertrey Paper Dolls blog hop

Rose card

This card uses PTI's Year of Flower: Roses set as the focal point. If you look at this closely, you'll notice it's cut out amazingly well! ;) (That was with the help of my Silhouette, of course, not due to any skills of mine!) I didn't quite get up the courage to use my limited selection of Copics on it, so I shaded it with colored pencils, which I think still added some nice dimension!

Also, I did actually sew the buttons to the ribbon... no, please don't ask me why... yes, it was a bad idea... no, I don't think I'd ever do that again! (Maybe it's because it was cheap ribbon, but you just don't want to see what the needle going through again and again did to that ribbon...(or maybe everyone else just knows that it's just not done that way? ha))

Anyway, the challenge was to use at least one thing in your card that started with P, T, and I.
So, to fit the challenge:
P: Popdots! (to raise up the rose)
T: Trimmed ribbon ends
I: Ink (sorry, I feel like that's a bit of a cop-out, but there it is!)

Thanks for stopping by, and for the fun challenge from the Dolls!

Pretty. So pleased you shared this card it is so very lovely. The Lemon Tart and Ocean Tides are so fab together, especially accented by the white (I think those are the right colors, forgive me if not). This card sure is purdy!
